MDS Episode #0027: Phil Joins the Modern Day Sniper Team
After a hiatus that lasted too long, Caylen and Phil are back at it with some big news; Phil is now an official member of the MDS team! The pair catch up on what they’ve been up to for the last month and a half which involved in-person classes, mentorship students, Phil’s budget Tikka build, Caylen’s American Rifle Company builds, an early fall bear hunt, and a local club match.

Would be down to do a .308/300wm match, time and place depending of course. Jorge is an awesome host and does a lot for the PR community. Would love to take your guy’s course.

That .308 match sounds fun. I’ve always thought about getting a bunch of the same guns. Scope. Bipod etc. All the same. Each shooter has one hour to set up the gun to them, zero and dope rifle. That way it test just the shooter.

Guys keep up the good work. I love listening to your podcasts. I’m an Aussie sniper/ SF soldier served in all the same conflicts as you guys in roughly the same time period. I love my long range shooting and have a family of 4 to look after. The mindfulness is great to listen to.
