In this episode Caylen and Phil continue their discussion from episode 0005 and they dive into the technology that surrounds modern day sniping, and how that technology affects what we do as shooters. They discuss data management, Maximum Point Blank Range, Optimum Point Blank Zero, danger space, and how those skills translate into being an effective shooter under stress. They wrap up the conversation by answering a listener question on cold bore shots, and knowing your DOPE from memory. Lots of great tidbits of technical knowledge, and one that you should probably listen to more than once.

I don't totally understand "danger space" I can look it up but thought it may be a good talking point. Love the cast thank you for passing your knowledge on.

Great episode guys! When you’d mentioned danger space, particularly of the enemy’s weapon system, it brought me back to being schooled as a young Lcpl on weapon standoff (TOW missile vs. main guns on Soviet Bloc tanks). Keep up the great work

Best episode yet lads. I particularly liked the part talking about your 308 dope using distance minus 1.5 to get your mils. been using this for about 2 years now. It works

Love it, keep it up they get better every time as usual. But could you touch more on rearward pressure with the firing hand when in the prone. I find it does less for me than more for me and I’d like to understand it better to practice that fundamental.

Max point blank range is the range at which your bullet has risen half the target height over your line of sight then fallen to half your target height below your line of sight. Old concept
